Yes, I have, but I held onto it knowing that it was the thought that counts.

Really hated? No, because I appreciate that someone at least thought enough of me to get me a present. However, I've received presents that I didn't really like and are collecting dust (if I haven't already donated them to some charity).

Yes, my Maiden Aunt was a great one for giving strange presents. She lived far away and we saw each other every five years or so. The worst was when I was in high school and she gave me a sweater with a cowboy riding a horse on the front. It was the size for a five or six year old. I was 15 or 16. Mom and Dad didn't let me send the thank you letter I had written.

Well not actually hated, just was not my style. I however recycled it..I re wrapped it and gave it to someone else, more to their liking. However it's the thought that counts, so when you receive a present, you thank that person, we were taught to have gratitude toward others. But these days when you do get a present, it often comes with a gift receipt, so you can take it back to get something more of your style... If you do get something you don't like, maybe the person that gave it to you really didn't know your likes, so maybe you can break it to that person in a nice way..Anyways just like yourself we cannot please everyone....It's life!!!

I really wish I had taken a picture of my worst Christmas present ever, but I threw it out first. Last year a friend of mine (a rather wealthy one at that) gave me a hideous cast-metal clock in the shape of a nude female. The pose made it look like J. Lo either serving a volleyball or showing off Ben Affleck's huge diamond ring. It was made in China, of course. The clock was taped on and stopped working within a week.

Yes a boyfriend got me a huge purse which was real leather but it had big silver hearts on it with fringe hanging from each heart. He made a point of telling me that it was "very expensive". He bought it when he was at bike week in Daytona. He was a biker guy. I wondered did he even know me at all because it was definately something I would never like. He kept bothering me about why I was not using it. I lied to him and told him it was stolen at the laundromat while I was washing clothes. I could not bring myself to tell him it was the ugliest tackiest piece of **** I had ever seen and I could not bring myself to actually use it just to make him happy.

Yes, an ugly orange vase about 2 feet tall that looked like it should have been in style in the 70's but it was a gift and I was told to always be thankful for anything I recieve so now it is in the corner with pennies in it. Works pretty good as a penny bank :)

Yes, it was a Christmas present. An ugly striped sweater that was too big.
Hasn't everyone had a horrible present before?

Yes ! A wedding present from a dear Aunt. Seems she thought because I smoke, she would give me an ashtray, bright orange in color, kind of like a tie-dye pattern, in ceramic.
WELL, 30 years later, that @#*%* ashtray in the antique shoppes go for $100.00 or better. Who would have thought !
P.S. I did break the ashtray accidentially one day while cleaning.
Honest !!!
