Also it says to go to apple/support/ipod..i have tried that..I reset it ....also i have put it on disk mode...and nothing has happened...If someone is very familiar with ipod mini please let me know...I use the ipod to jog..its kind of become part of my life and my health ..thank you so much.....Ernesto

Did you recently update your iPod? I had a shuffle and when I updated it fried it and was unuseable. The more I tried to import songs into it the worse it got and eventually my computer quit reading its existence at all!! Apple is no help on support... trust me. I returned mine but that's another post.

Have you tried emptying it then copying the library to it again?
If that doesn't work, make sure u have all the firmware upgrades, and that you didn't skip over one, so install them in order.
And if that doesn't work call Apple.
