The ocean is definitely more interesting. Space is just as the name implies. True, it is mind-boggling to think of such a concept as infinite space, but the ocean is what fascinates me. Humans have been able to venture into space even before we had the ability to explore our own oceans. We still can't chart our oceans, and I think that we should focus on this more before we send out more shuttles to space.

They're both very interesting. The ocean is interesting because it's so beautiful and deep, and there is so much life there. You can swim as long as your heart desires and still not see everything there is to see. There are still depths of the ocean that mankind has yet to explore. It could be housing creatures that we can't even imagine. Outerspace is interesting because there is no limit. With the ocean, you're eventually going to hit bottom, but is there really a bottom to space? What's out THERE that we haven't thought up yet? That's why the thought of extraterrestrials is so interesting to some. But it's harder to explore space if you're not a scientist, you can go to the beach anytime you like and examine a tidepool and discover things you never knew existed. The ocean is just more conveinent, which is why we probably know more about it than space. Space is more of a risk, if you go too far you're likely to be lost forever or be crushed like in the movies. In the ocean all you need is a diving buddy and an oxygen tank and common sense. Don't poke the sharks. But, the one thing you really need to explore both is a willing to learn and a sense of adventure.

Outer space is more interesting, because of the pure vastness and mystery of it, the ocean can wait it's been there for billions of years, but outer space needs to be made a priority, the dangers of not going into space is greater than not exploring the oceans, one stray meteor could end all life on earth including the ocean life, there will always be lots oceanographers and astronauts to go around, and the interest and mystery of both environments will be around for a while, if funding for both Fields is increased with the priority being space exploration and then ocean studies.

Ha, ha Moby Dick, I'm reading it right now. Anyways, I would rather study the ocean, becuase it is something I can grasp. I would love to go down in a submarine and explore the depths. Outer Space just seems so far away and barren to all life (unless you believe in aliens...) the ocean has so much tangible things-- fish, coral, whales, and interesting life... SORRY I don't agree with you...

There is nearly an infinate amout of outer space to be explored, however until we get beter technology there is the problem of the vast emtpyness of outer space. The sea contains a vast amount of life that can be found very easily. But in the long hall, space will prove to be the most interesting, by far.

I would say Outer Space. The Ocean is vast, beautiful, a deeply interesting, but the Universe is endless, it seems.

Ocean. Its more alien that most people know. New species are discovered daily. We only know a fraction of it. Its really amazing if you think that we are in the 21st century and still don't understand our own oceans. Space can wait.

I fall peacefully asleep to courses with regard to the universe and all that technological know-how can accomplish interior the destiny. the assumption-with regard to the depths of the non-public part of the sea keeps me up biting my pillow and crying like somewhat sissy woman. we ought to constantly detect outer area to locate a clean international the place we are in a position to stay to tell the story.
