I think the world population is growing at a very fast rate but I don't think we should stop having children because of that... there must be another solution..although most countries with
problems in population expanding too fast like China and India have strict rules about the number of children a family must have. The reverse of this: example comunist leaders in Romania during the 1980s urged women to have at least 2 kids

The idea has been passed around from time to time. For the past few decades, China has had a "planned birth" policy which often limits families to one or two children. An average birth rate of 2.0-2.5 births per woman would cause a stable population. In China, the average has become 1.7 births per woman. So in a way, this has been a population reduction movement, but the policy has had several unintended side effects (see Wikipedia article below).
A more direct approach is the Voluntary Human Extinction Movement. They advocate people voluntarily not having children, in the hopes that the human population will shrink to more manageable levels, or ideally all the way to zero. Movements like this, however, are rarely taken seriously; our natural urge is to reproduce, and deferred gratification has never been a terribly popular concept.
Really, I don't think overpopulation as bad as people suggest. There's still room for us to live and grow. I think the real problem is how much we, particularly Americans, consume. So much of our food and household goods are made to be consumed and thrown away, and on top of that, it comes wrapped in five layers of packaging that all winds up in the landfill. From the website of the PBS special "Affluenza":
"Last year, Americans, who make up only five percent of the world's population, used nearly a third of its resources and produced almost half of its hazardous waste."
I think if we could find a way to reduce American consumption and put some time and money into developing the third world's natural resources, population wouldn't be such a concern. Improving education could help fight overpopulation, as many developing societies have rather unscientific beliefs about childbirth and HIV, which result in high rates of both. Better education and economic opportunity could also aid political stability, since the nation's money and power would not be concentrated in the hands of a few men. So I don't believe we need to reduce the number of people on the planet; we just need to learn how to treat them better.

To many people. They should pass a law against having children. Then in one hundred years, all the problems of the world will be solved.

If everyone in the USA were to move to the state of Texas, everyone would have at least a quarter acre to themselves. More than double that in the state of Alaska.
A quarter acre is larger than the average lot size in the city.

I agree. Overpopulation is a serious problem that no one's talking about. We obviously can't stop making more, but if people with information on and access to birth control could use it, and if we could make contraceptive information and products more readily available worldwide, we could slow it down.

Since you believe you are created in the image of God why don't you stop God from creating more people or why don't you stop the creation of more people. Because, if in fact, you were really created in God's image then you should have some of his talent such as creating human beings or not creating them.

Their is a few women I have met who are not married have a few children with different guys ...I think if they stop making children with every guy they shck up with then it would be okay for the rest of us to have children when we can support them and are mature enough to have them
