have you ever listened to her? girl got some pipes, you know what i'm sayin'? her early stuff shows off her vocal talents more than the recent, but she is definitely a good singer.

Well she certainly thinks so. Mariah Carey is probably the most overrated singer since Sting. She made a complete fool of herself when she got divorced and started behaving like she'd just busted out of prison. The only thing she has going for her is a cunning publicist who knows how to manipulate the Music Industry Machine.

Mariah is a good singer. However, she is a 100% STUDIO SINGER! Live performances aint her thing at all! This girl seems to have a powerful voice, but when you get her live, nothing but backing vocals, or a complete lipsync. Very disappointing, because you have SINGERS like Beyonce who dance the whole performance, AND sing straight up!

I agree with Lou-Lou. She's FAT. She has a good voice, just not my kind of singer. Green Day is a lot better.

she use to sing good, I dont know what happened to her. I hate her music now, she always does this airy whispering singing and its annoying. And all her music sounds the same.

One, does it matter to her singing voice if she gets chunky sometimes; and, two, her voice has improved and she's not as screechy as she was in earlier albums. I liked Emancipation.
