The temporary order of protection can turn into a permanant one when you get your divorce. If you have a lawyer, he/she should have petitioned the court for the husband to give you child support. There are some free legal aid out there. I could not get any legal aid, but I will tell you this..if he is acting like this now he is going to be reluctant about paying child support. My ex tried everything in his power to get the children away from me because what the court will do is grant custody of the child to whoever the child is staying with. Get a lawyer or legal aid ASAP.

i live in Georgia so i go to www.ga.gov--so try doing this w/ the state you live in...example...www.oh.gov...www.fl.gov....www.al.gov..etc, and there it will tell you about child support enforcement and signing up..I did and now i get child support for my 3 children direct deposit but had to send in some forms or you can visit your local Dept.of Children and Family services (Dept. of Human resources also)

There are free lawyers - go to Legal Aid and sign up. There should be Legal Aid in every city in America and Canada - I can't say about other countries.
