Need some ideas on how to fix the doors in my very small hallway. My bedroom has two bi-fold doors in the entrance. Right across from that (in a very narrow hallway) are another pair of bi-fold doors on a linen closet. And at the end of the hall is a small closet with 2 panel doors that hit both sets of bi-folds when open. I need to replace all of them because they're old, but also wanted some idea on how to fix this traffic jam! Hope my very lame drawing below helps you understand how the hallway looks. Any ideas on what type of doors I can use to make this space more useable and keep all of these doors from colliding? None of the doorways are suitable for pocket doors.

W=bi-fold doors (top is to bedroom, bottom is to linen closet, both open out to the hallway)
< = doors to small closet (opens out to the hallway...actually hits the other doors when open)

Replace the bi-fold doors on the closet with a sliding door. If you have room inside the bedroom, replace those doors with a single panel door that opens into the bedroom. Without seeing a complete floor plan it is hard to offer more help.

Hello there ! is more helpful if you have some drawing of your space I can help you a little bit if you send some drawing , You can use for one side (of course I can´t figure it the whole thing at this moment) mirror sliding door in the small closet (so if you don't use this place so much you can make the hallway more bigger you can use this space for make a niche with space for some vase up and small doors or even with out doors for some collecting ,books ,pictures or any small things that you can use for decorating anyway you need in one side some mirrors for expand the visibility of your hallway this can help you a lot and the folding doors you can replace for a single door that opens to the bedroom not to the hallway....I hope that this can be useful for you

I'm afraid you might have to live with the door arrangement as it is, however, there is no rule that says which way the door has to open...in or out. If it's a closet, open it out. If it's double door you can open them inward to the room and that will help with the problem and won't be very ackward. My rule of thumb in a hallway is to paint any door that opens in to the hallway the same color as the wall (like a linen closet). The other doors should be natural colored. That will give a break-up of all the doors in one place. You can also consider folding french loovered door for closets or bedrooms. Hope this helps.

you can replace the tow bi-fold doors with sliding doors. This way, the door at the end can open, and you can still get into the linen closet and the bedroom.

A quick fix would be to remove the doors and replace with drapes. Cup hooks screwed into the walls on the sides of the door way can act as tie backs while doing laundry or getting things from the closet. You can go with dramatic fabrics to express your style or with white or wheat colors to keep the hall feeling uncluttered.

I replaced some closet doors in small areas with a curtain rod and nice fabric curtain, metal rods and rings slide the easiest.

Adds some color and design too.

I dont know if it will work for your decor, but Im happy with mine.
Also tablecloths and sheets sometimes have better choices and prices, you can use drape rings with clips .

I would have a custom width door made for the bedroom (normal type of door not bifold) that opens into bedroom.
