What are the bad side-effects?
I've heard of disposable ones, but are their permanent ones that you take out at night and put in solution, and use the next day?
Do they fall out that often?
Thanks!

if you take care of your contacts, there shouldn't be any discomfort or side effects. Every contact brand I have tried was ok. I use the monthly ones, but i normally just wear them until they aren't comfortable any more. They shouldn't fall out at all if you have the right RX for your eyes.

I've been using disposable contact lens for the past 11 years. I take out at night, put in solution, and use the next day until the third week, I throw away and put on a new one. The most you can leave it in solution is one month. Are they comfy? They irritate in the beginning but as you continue to wear, it's like nothing. Soemtimes you won't even know it's there but it all depends on the person's eyes. People with dry eyes will have not so great experience. You should consult your optometrist. Do they fall out that often? The only time my contact lens falls out is: (1) wearing contact lens while swimming underwater; (2) after taking a nap; (3) rubbing my eyes really hard. But still... every eyes are different so you may have a much better experience.

Mine, I have a 6 month supply and change them every month. I take them out at night, clean them, and put them in solution. Mine never really fall out. Occasionally if its about 11 or 12 at night and I have been wearing them since 6 am then they might start to get a little dry and get annoying. The only other thing is if you get something in your eye they water A LOT. Everyone is different. It depends on the kind of contacts you have and basically just how your eye is. But dont use that cheap solution either because it has been proven to cause eye problems.

I wear contacts and I got them when I was 10 and they do not bug me at all then or now. I have the kind that you put in soution then use again the next day but after about a month you will have to use new ones. They only fall out if the are dry and you are rubbing them. Just advice never sleep in the even if they are night and day. I have night and day and my eye doctor said that I cannot sleep in them cause it is bad for your eyes. I have nver had side effects for using my contacts. I have had friends that have gotten pink eye because they did not wash their hands before putting in their contacts. So make sure you always wash your hands before putting them in. Best of Luck!

I have the daily wear contacts (the ones you take out at night and replace once a year). Mine had to be specially made, so they cost $220 for one pair (to last the year).
My contacts are very comfortable. I never feel them until later in the day. As the day progresses, they tend to dry up a little and I can feel them. All I have to do is use some rewetting drops and I'm okay.
I have never had them fall out and never had any major side effects. As long as you take them out everyday, thoroughly clean them, and never sleep in them, you will probably be fine.

I have the 2 week disposable ones and they work like a charm, they are very comfortable and I can barley feel them, but since they are 2 week disposable ones, I have to make sure I wash them extremely clean with solution. My soft lenses havn't fallen out yet! Hard contacts hurt more, so if you're trying to decide go for the soft ones!

they can be comfy if you get the right fit; dont settle...when i first got my contacts i went through many different kinds and eventually different sizes for one eye b/c they just felt uncomfortable.

they dont fall out often unless your eyes dry and you rub them alot.

disposables are great b/c they are inexpensive and can be used for a couple of months and then thrown away.

If you get gas permable they are very painful and fall out so much, that i haven't wore them in a year.I just go without. I would get the permanent. You leave em in soulution. Mine was 300.000 buck about so becareful what kind you get.
