want to install new sata hdd w/ my existing old ide hdd and make two system which system will be c drive do i need to configure my bios for the bootable drive since ide hdd is my master does that mean its my c drive to be

Once you got the Sata drive up and running you should have no problems.

In your motehrboards bios check for a setting called HARDDRIVE BOOT ORDER. Set the first boot device to your IDE drive and the second to your SATA drive. since it will list the make of th drive make sure you know what model the IDE drive is. Your motherboard might also indicate how the haddrive is connected as well.

Primary Master will ussually be the C drive unless you make some modification to the OS. When you add a Sata drive you have to change the Harddisk boot order if you want he sata to act as the C drive. If i remember correctly though SATA connectors have a lower boot order so after you add the sata the pc will likely still first check the IDE making your old drive C: and then sata unless you set the bios to check otherwise.
