why are only blondes dumb? why not redheads or brunettes or whatever else? who started it? i think it's wrong. i know some really smart blondes and really dumb people without blonde hair.

Jessica Simpson is famous for her 'real life' dumb blonde persona, though opinion differs as to whether this is entirely affected, partially affected or simply her genuine personality. Paris Hilton is also considered a prominent dumb blonde judging on her many escapades that leak into the tabloids and the media. The bimbo is a similar stereotype, though a bimbo can have any hair color.

Well...this is coming from a natural blonde ! I have people tell me blonde jokes all the time. (They probably think I won't understand them...lol). I laugh at all of them. You have to have a sense of humor in the world, and trust me, I do. But...I can dish it out just as well as I can take it. Being blonde is great, and if people want to think we are ALL dumb, that's their problem!

It's just a stereotype... Born of the way some blondes acted... giggly - silly... they are thought to be stupid.
