The last two years I have been in college, before the second semesters both of my roommates moved out. Both I didn't know. You see we get along fine at the start of school and soon we just don't talk anymore. I respect her and I don't do anything idiotic. I just don't talk to her if she doesn't talk to me first.

So any suggestions on how to keep a roommate longer? Or something. Thanks =)

I'd suggest that you find a reason to talk to them. About anything. Even it's just "What's up?" Being roommates is usually awkward at first. At least it is for me. After a while it should get easier to initiate conversations. Try and keep the lines of communication open through the entire year.

Don't wait for her to talk to you first. Plan to do some activities together like bowling or go to the movies. Ask if there is a problem.

i've had 2 college roommates. one was my best friend and we were constantly together. she eventually turned very conniving and everything ended between us badly. the other one and i got along really well, especially after the ***** left. we stayed out of each other's hair, and we hung out together occasionally. now that we dont live together anymore, we hang out all the time.
