Wow , that's a deep question , and it really depends on the type of relationship it is . First of all is it platonic or sexual ? if it's sexual , then what are the LAWS in the area you live in concerning sexual relations of people your age ? If it is illegal in that area for a person your age to have sex with an adult then for BOTH of your sakes , you need to stop it at once before the law does . If it is NOT and there are only very few state that don't , are you mature enough to handle a ADULT relationship ?? What does your family think of it ? That is a HUGE step to take and you need to be psychologially aware of the responsibility of a person who society labels as a child having an adult relationship . Other than that , if you're happy , and it's not against the LAW , then NO ONE has the right to judge you or the person you are with .

You should really leave him. Its about what?? maybe a 19 year difference? I mean yea your 16 and hes in his 30s... at least wait till your 18 and if you ment that much to him then he could wait for you. Age and nothing but a number but you gotta think bout it.... hes gonna be ready to settle down and start a family and your gonna wanna be going out with your friends, go clubbing, go drinking and have fun... dance with random guys.. hes not gonna want you to go do that... hes already gone and done all that so hes not gonna aprove of it. And then you gotta think bout sleeping with him...in 3 years do you really wanna be sleeping with some guy whos almost 40 years old. I would seriously consider leaving it all alone cuz you really dont wanna make a mistake with this. I mean what if hes not that guy he said he was? I have been there and trust me it just hurts really bad. You can find a guy who is more your age... no matter how you look (not saying anything bout your looks cuz I dont know you anyway).. I have made this mistake before and trust me I regret it every day of my life... if you wanna talk to me then Email me or add me to your messenger. I would REALLY REALLY REALLY consider dumping him or waiting till your 18.. cuz that way it wont be illegal and no one could report you or him cuz if anyone does... his *** is in jail and im sure that ur friends and family love you enough to keep him away from you... and trust me there is no way in HELL you are gonna be able to keep it quiet... x specially for 2 more years.....

Well, I do not know you or your friend so I am not going to judge you. However, you might get along better with someone else younger. This guy must be enjoying the heck out of your body, but is it statutory rape? I don't think so - there are legal ages of consent to sex, depending on the state. Like here in MI the legal age for consensual sex is 16.
The plus side to your situation, is that you can learn a lot about the world from someone who is in your situation. Learn from him, learn and grow - and when it gets boring, go for someone who won't mind hanging out with you when you've got a crayon in your hand and your working yourself through the maze on the placemat at Big Boy.
It must look kinda weird when the two of you go out together? Like say on Father's Day?

I'm going to sort of echo everyone else on this one.
GET OUT NOW AND HAVE HIM ARRESTED!!
If you were dating an 18 year old and were 16 and a half I may be a little more understanding (As would most I think). But he's 1 year younger than me and with a 16 year old. HMmmmmmm That is wrong on many levels.

Get away from that dirty old man. Get yourself a guy your own age. You will regret this when you are older. When your 30 he'll be in a nursing home, with a bald head, wrinkles, false teeth and his belly hanging over his belt. When your 40 he'll be dead and you will be all alone. At 16 you haven't got a clue what life is about, much less what love and relationships are really about. Or what's really on men's minds. He is taking advantage of you and your innocence.

I completely understand what you saying but the problem is with him:(
Even if you are mature enough to be in the relationship with the older guy it doesn't mean that's the right thing to do as of right now.
He is ABOVE 30 that's the problem, it seems like he is using your youth and beauty because at 30 he can't be on the same level(should I say emotionally) that you are at 16.
Don't do it ..it will break your heart .You too young for that .

you're 16 yrs old. You should be enjoying your high school years sweetie, not worrying about 30 something yr old issues. Not to mention it is against the law! I'm assuming, by relationship you mean more than friends. As a mom, I'm totally against it! What could you possibly have in common with a 30ish yr old person on a level that would compare to your age???? So, NO you should not keep this 'thing' up.

First, of all young lady you are underage, your not even an adult yet, You are nothing but jail bait for this man. If you were at least the age of consent it would be one thing. But in the eyes of the world you are still looked upon as a teenager. You are nothing but bad news for this guy. He should have his head examined for going out with a child. I know you think you are all grown up , but your not. What if you get pregnant? He could be held accountable for it and maybe even get jail time. Whoever this fellow is he didn;t do much thinking before he got involved with you.If, I were you I would get out now before you do end up pregnant & ruin your life andhis. You have got plenty of time in this to be grown up. If you want to date somebody at least date somebody in your own age bracket.Good Luck!!

Honey, a thirty years old man has no business looking for a 16 years old lady, often they look for someone younger out of a need to control. You have not live long enough to take life so serious, and commit to a serious long term relationship.

From experience I'm telling you that's disgusting. I dated a 33 yr. old when i was 16 and it isn't until I developed my common sense that I realized what I was doing to myself. Ask yourself why is it that a grown man would be intrested in a 16 yr. old. Is there a reason he can't find a woman his age? Maybe cause through experience they can see what you don't.
