I believe that drinking 6 - 8 glasses of water throughout the day and evening does have health benefits. When you look at a plant that has not been watered in several days, what happens when it gets water, the leaves open up, the stems straighten up. Imagine what clean pure water will do for your skin, which it your body's largest organ. Also, water will keep your body cooled, it will help flush your digestive system, and promote a healthier colon. Your body can survive for a time without food, but not without water. Water will keep your facial skin hydrated if you are just concerned about the appearance of aging.

A long time ago a doctor said that an adult should drink 8 glasses of water a day and ever since that report that is what we constantly hear. BUT what they fail to state is that the doctor contuned to say "that much of this water comes to us in our food." So 8 glasses of water is only a guideline and if you are eating at least 5 servings of fruits and veggies each day, you probably don't need 8 additional glasses. I think you should drink when you are thirsty. Too much water can strain the kidneys or increase your blood pressure.

Based on everything I've read about this, yes, it does, but only up to four glasses of water a day. After that the health benifits level off and you just have to pee more.
