After doing a research paper in criminal justice on Marijuana I think it should be decriminalized. It is less addictive than caffiene or nicotine or even alcohol for that matter. It does less damage to your body than alcohol or cigarettes. Another reason is it would cut down on criminal activity and certain drug rings. If there is no way marijuana will be made legal they should not have medicinal marijuana either, they should just take the ingrediant that helps the patients but doesnt cause them to get high.

No and why would you want too. What would our society be like if it were, I don't think I would like to live in that world. I can't imagine my Doctor right before surgery going out and burning one to calm him down any more than I would like the thought of him having a drink. It is a DRUG. From what I've read and seen on TV medical marijuana is not a treatment but a why to calm the effects of cancer treatment drugs from the HIGH that marijuana puts out. Many years ago I tried it a couple of times and I did not like the way it made me feel. I think it should also be treated like a DUI while driving because it does corrupt the body the same way drinking does.

I agree with it and more. Some people are not even aware that there was a time in the U.S. when it was a crime not to grow hemp. Hemp is a versatile plant and can be used for rope, clothing, shoes, and other articles for everyday use. The only reason it was outlawed was because of pressure from big companies trying to stop the spread of this highly useful plant.

I think it certain amounts should be legalized like in netherlands it is legal and they dont have as much cases of it. if someone wants to destroy their life-let them. But when it is legal -people wont have such a desire for it. When something is illegal-people find it more tempting and want it more than if it was legal and nothing new-ya know? I really am indifferent on medical marijuana. And i definitely do not smoke it. Why ruin the life God gave me to using drugs?

Cigerettes is a multi million dollar a year product and kills people day in and day out

alcohal has been accepted for thousands and thousands of years and kills people day in and day out

I have never NEVER EVER in my life heard of marajuana killing anybody.

If marajuana wasn't a crime, it could than be regulated by the government and you wouldn't have criminals interacting with young kids and normal everyday people.

Because marajuana is a crime, you are turning minor suppliers, most of which have day jobs and are upstanding citizens, into criminals. And you are also forcing people who smoke marajuana to interact with possible dangerous people.

Not to mention you can then regulate the use of it, much like alcohal, the government could than set up rules.

ANd if thats not enough, think about the money in taxes. I mean our government will never get rid of the DEATH sticks we call cigerettes because the government is making a KILLING on the taxes and kick backs..... that number could be coming from a product that DOESN'T kill people, marajuana

think of all the jail space we could free up, also freeing up taxpayer money, put a tax on it like they do cigarettes there are probably just as many people who smoke pot as cigs, all the money could pay for federally funded medical care for everyone, just a thought

I agree with legalizing it. I don`t smoke it, but I see no reason why they can`t legalize it for medical purposes.

It should be legalized across the board. Cigarettes kill, alcohol is dangerous-pot isn't any worse than those.
