i have been in an LDR for going on 15 months, and it canwork if you see one another once in a while, talk openly and really DO love one another but it won't work as an LDR forever so eventually one of you has to move closer, like i plan to do soon.....
GOOD LUCK!
i hope everything works well for you.

how long have you been in a long distance relationship? long distance relationship actually works. You two both must have the courage and effort to do it. Im on a ldr these days and the first month was really hard for me and my gf as I went to other country to earn some money for our future... As time passes by, our love goes even stronger. As the saying goes "absence makes the heart grow fonder"... If you really love and trust each other, there's nothing to worry about. If you feel true about your love for another person, nothing can stop you from loving him/her. Even distance can't tear you apart....:-)

I just got out of a 3 year ldr. the first 2 years were great. then he moved in with me and things got even more serious and reality and life obstacles got in the way. i'd had a job and he only had 1 for a month the entire time we were dating. we discovered we were fundamentally incompatible. we wouldn't have known that if he haven't moved in. so i'd say that ldr's are great if you don't plan on being serious. now if the situation was reversed and if one of you ended up moving away after the relationship began, i would've broken it off there. consider it a learning experience!

In some cases it will work out if for instance if their is trust,be observant, effort by means of communication, compatiblity towards the person, descipline and respect for each other by means of understanding. While some says it will not workout because lack of communication for some reasons,no consideration, doubts of one another, fear of consequence, jealous and hopeless.
But for me it will become true love if each one of you knows how to listen one another.Being open to discuss for the better of the relationship not just hi and hello. But mind you LDR is challenging kind of relationship but sometimes tricky. Its like you are attending an exam in a university.
Anyway no distance attach if you love each other no matter how far.
