You should feel really fortunate for having been born white. Be glad that people don't automatically assume the worst about you. Don't be bitter.
Unfortunately, minorities have been the targets of systematic oppression in this country for centuries. Dark skinned people have had many doors slammed in their faces based on their skin color alone, and still do. These programs are aimed at opening new doors of opportunity by considering the limitations placed on people of color and what achievements have been made in spite of those limitations. Keep in mind, there isn't a scholarship waiting for every little minority child. There are still qualifications to be met. And there is still a lot of unmet need.
Look for scholarships aimed at: people in your family's income bracket, geographic area, who attended school in your district, with your religious affiliation, members of school clubs and organizations, children of union members, children of employees of some firms, children of alumni to some colleges and universities, children of parents with certain occupational affiliations, and people of your ancestral background (i.e. Welsh, Irish, Italian, etc.), to name a few. Also consider employers that offer tuition reimbursement. That's how I earned my way through college.

For whatever reason, whites have made the world theirs. When others work to get an equal piece of the pie, u want to change the rules. Stop feeling so threatened when rightful works toward equality take place. Hey, I don't know u per say, but I'm talking in general. Why is sharing such a hardship to one group of people who made themselves so elite?
No, it isn't reverse discrimination. It is a rightful sharing piece of the pie! I'm tired of this!

I was watching a show , on american tv.I can not remember all the details but the reason why they are certain scholarships set up for minorities is because in general the other scholarships generaly already tend to go to caucasions . SO no I don't think it is discrimination in that way

Well if you're poor I could name plenty of programs that help Caucasians. If you have a special talents I could give you some more. The truth is so many people see limited opportunities for minorities that they feel they must help create opportunity for them. Find a minority trait in yourself and you will find what you are in search of.

I suppose it is, but McDonald's as a private corporation, can extend help to any one, or any group it chooses. They nay also have some scholarships and such for the white kids too. It might be worth checking out.

I'm not quite sure how to answer your question. Too many years, white man felt the world was his territtory. It's fair to allow the rights of everyone, regardless of skin color, race, religion, or what-have-you. I have nothing against my own race, just with racial attitudes.

They feel that other races should be give an "equal" chance as us even though we dont have that much better of a chance. try FAFSA and your school for local awards.
