Nice place to relax, enjoy and recuperate. Avoid monsoon time, between June and 2nd week of September.

Advisable to stay outside Panaji, the capital of Goa. Plenty of good beaches and places of good stay are within the range of 30 to 50 minutes commuting by public transport and 15 to 30 mins by own / hired vehicles, so no hassle.

i ve been to goa a couple of times.. i think it is one of the best place to visit in India.. best time is around the christmas(dec-jan).. the festive season is on during the christmas n new year and u are kinda enjoy everything, though prices go up by a fair amount at that time, so try n have booking in advance.. in case u want to enjoy goa at decent price then go during mid of jan(off season)..
