California is the obvious choice here. We have all climates. We have the Ocean,Mountains,Desert, Forest, and the 5th largest economy in the world. Plus we don't have the humidity of the east coast.

I love Maryland, especially the Southern peninsula.
Great weather, mild short winters, long summer. I love
