I am white and my husband is black. Our son is going to deal with racism not only from white people but from black people, also. I cannot understand why in the world someone judges another human being based on the color of their skin. I am amazed at how differently I am treated when my husband is with me. When we were looking for a place to live, I called a man and he told me he had an apartment available. When we pulled up and he saw that my husband was black, he said we could fill out an application but he had a lot of other people that were interested. That was right the opposite of what he told me when I talked to him on the phone. We go through this kind of stuff on a daily basis. I think it is so sad that some people are so unhappy with themselves that they have to find fault in everyone else that they come in contact with.

Sick of hearing about it? Sick of it being used as an excuse?
In the very early 90's it was all about sexual harassment. If you said something harmless somebody would scream "sexual harassment!" I live in Atlanta. Racism continues because many races force it to continue. This is way too lengthy for me to type out right now. I don't think it would be fair to cut it down either because then it would appear that I was opiniated without a valid reason.
I'm very sick of it. What is African-American anyway? Umm, you're either American or you're not. Period! Ironically people that are constantly accusing others of being racist are the very same ones who insist there should be privileges for "minorities".
Nobody wants to be identified by their race, unless it's convenient and beneficial in some sort of way i.e. affirmative action.
As for what happened hundreds of years ago....I was not part of that, neither were my own children. So don't blame me or take it out on me. Neither myself nor anyone else owes you anything, because those things didn't happen to YOU! We ALL have to work hard to get ahead and become something to be proud of. The question is...Can we just put our differences aside (after we embrace them) and work together instead of against each other?
Don't even get me started on the Confederate flag issue....
Racism exists because there are certain people that allow it to exist. Honestly? Nobody cares what color your skin is so stop using it as a defense mechanism! Just get some manners and speak proper English. We are all treated by the way we project ourselves. History is exactly that. HISTORY! So get over it!
And while I'm at it...NAACP?
It's okay for that group to be around right? But what if there was a NAAWP? It would be a totally different story then huh? It's a double standard being fueled by those who supposedly don't want racism to exist. It's a thing of the past....let it go!
I'm no different than you!

I'm DEFINITELY sick of racism, it's an issue that should have been dropped years ago. My boyfriend is black, and him and I went on vacation in a predominately white area. We walked into a restaurant, and it was like something out of the movies, the whole place got quiet, people turned their heads to look. We sat down, and got the worst service in the place! A table with 5 people who arrived at least 15 minutes after us got to order their food, as well as got their food, before us! Not to mention that people wouldn't stop staring at us, like they'd never seen an interracial couple before. The waitress was at our table only a couple times, never checked on us, never refilled our drinks, it was horrible. I've never left a restaurant without leaving a tip, but that night I did. There's been other instances when people make comments about us, and although we've learned to ignore it, it's still something that we shouldn't have to deal with. No one race is better than another, and that's something that people need to realize, because hate doesn't make anything better for anyone.

I am sick of it being used by the black people(the black militants, that is) always t he RACE CARD.. If I were in charge, anytime a race card is used, I would eliminate those using it. Just think though... in the VERY near future, there is another group coming in to bide time to use the race card and that is the Latinos.. I do not know or understand WHY the white people do not yell racisms when it happens against them?? whyl?

I am not sure its racism anymore, its todays style, Look at how people are dressing , like slobs, and the music(rap, if you wanna call that music) its all about how cool gangs are and crack and drugs are and its ok to PIMP and have HOs and abuse them .And all the bad stuff is coming from the same people that are crying racism. Really who would respect a person who has a mouth full of BLING- BLING and his pants pulled all the way down to his knees and uncombed hair and talks like he never went to school a day in his life and yet we look up to THIS TYPE OF PERSON ( NOOOOT COOOOOL !!!!!!!!!!)

some are just looking for a crutch. for historical reason you should know your past to better yourself for the future & you can't be angry all the time. There are much more serious problems to focus on. Think about all the people who are sacrificing thier lives in this war and those dying that had nothing to do with it. To be honest, I believe the ones that are racist are tired of too, they just have too much time on their hands. Idle minds are the devil workshop.

I grew up in a black neighborhood while being white. I faced not only tauntings at school but later in my military yrs. even was asked "whats are you doing down here with the n****rs" by a black cop and it was the neighborhood I'd grown up in. Course I told him the only one there was him. * I now have verbal assualt of a police officer on my record but it was worth it* now I live in rural tennessee and hear racism comeing from all kinds of ignorant people. so much so that my fiance and I have had to ban certain members of her family from comeing to our wedding b/c they are either totally racist or have this BS that the church down here puts out about bi racial relationships being bad. most of my friends from are in bi racial relationships and even my father who is a wasp is married to a hispanic woman. I am closer to my step mom then my own mothr. when I met one particular aunt among the questions asked was "ever been with a black?" I literally thought I heard her wrong. then she asked again and I was so furious I said something about being proud to have and every other kind of person then proceeded to tell her off for the ignorance and overstepping of boundaries. anf when my fiance walkedin it hit the fan b/c I was stil trying to be the upstanding person. my fiance cursed her out and then my fiances bedridden great grandmother told the aunt to shut up when she started to speak back. I am tired of people not seeing that racism is a tool for the elite to divide us( common human beings) and blame each other for the problems the elite create instead of realizeing they are being used as slaves for the elites domination of the world and the wars they wish to make.

I am tired of racists We were all the same color and spoke the same language at the beginning of time. Man caused the separation in both.We are one family under God.
If you don't believe I'm sorry.

I think, perhaps, that racism and bogotry will always exist in some form. I am not "sick" of it. I just accept it and try to do the best I can every day.
