You can buy something for that out of the Bettaware catalogue. They're like crayons and you rub it into the floor to match the colour of the wood. There are about 5 different shades you get in the pack. If that doesn't work try polishing your floor with bees wax or french polish.

Presuming this wood is also varnished (as the white mark is usually trapped water underneath) then the following really works, even though it sounds and looks frightening. Pour some lighter fluid over the stain and set it alight quickly. This draws out the water and as the lighter fluid is so very flamable it is gone too quickly to damage the varnish.

i think my parents tried sanding down something of ours and then staining it again........
try that if nothing else works i would say.......
