Quite simply, the Thing has absolutely no chance. The Thing and The Hulk both have super-strength as their super power. They both are impervious to bullets. However, the Things strength is limited. He has no way of becomming more strong. The Hulk becomes stronger and stronger with each hit the Thing lands on him. The Hulk is the strongest mortal in existance. He has withstood super novas, and wepons of ultimate destruction.

Countless super HEROS (not villains) have tried to assist Bruce Banner in suicide, in order to rid the world of the Hulk. Each time, however, they find it is simply not possible. Professor X has probed his mind, Reed Richards has made weapons that hit him at faster-than-light speeds, Dr.Strange has gone into mystical realms, but there has Never been a way to kill him.

The Thing is NOT impervious to harm. He can be destroyed with a large enough explosion. The Hulk is. The Hulk's strength grows exponentially with time, and has healing factors. The Hulk is, in general, Stronger and more powerfull. In a recent Hulk comic, it shows a possible future: The planet Earth has been destroyed by nuclear holocost. The Hulk and Bruce Banner are the only human life left. There are desgusting bug-creatures that tear hulk apart, because of his old age, his healing factors are slower. Even when Hulk is nothing but some slabs of meat and skin, he re-grows back into himslef. The Thing is made of Rocks, and they don't grow Back. The Incredible Hulk (Bruce Banner) would defeat The Thing (Ben Grimm) any day of the week. End of story.

In Fantastic four 3 months ago Hulk was deactivating a gamma bomb made by Hydra. It blew up in Hulks face and made him "crazy" Reed sent Johnny and Thing out to the desert to stop him. Thing hit him with everything he could and didn't stop the Hulk. Hulk hit Thing one time and broke one of his ribs. Johnny then went Nova on Hulk to stop him. That didn't even singe Hulk, but it did snap him out of his rampage. At the end of the issue Thing made a comment about Reed sticking Hulk on a plane and shooting him into space. This issue took place shortly before Reed, Dr Strange, and Iron man shot Hulk into deep space. They did this because they knew nothing on Earth could stop the Hulk or kill him.

All evidence has and will point out that Hulk has a clear advantage. Thing is my favorite member of F4 but Hulk would get angry if he wasnt winning which would make him stronger and he would win. If Thing managed to dodge him until he changed back into Banner and tried to finish him he would change back just like that. If a wlkaing orange rock thing was charging at you , you would morph too.

This has been asked before, but anyway: The Hulk would win, hands down. He can pick up a tank and throw it at you, for Christ's sake!
