i plan on recording my own music and selling it and i want to get an H.P. recorder with lightscribe can i use any blank CDRW's or do i have to use special ones?

If you want to use Lightscribe in order to "print" a label on it then yes, you will have to buy Lightscribe discs. If you don't want to use Lightscribe to label them, then no but don't attempt to use Lightscribe on non-lightscribe discs.

For burning purposes only you can use any old CD-R or RW but for using Light Scribe Etching they have to have a special layer on the top. The ones from HP have a sort of gold top and i'm not sure about the other ones.
