In an article Jay Marriorti commented on an interaction with Guillen and a rookie pitcher. After two of his players got hit he put a rookie in the game with orders to hit the batter. The pitcher got the batter out but did not hit him. He was pulled out of the game and Guillen was seen yelling at him in the dugout. The pitcher started crying and was demonted to the minor leagues the next day. When asked O. Guillen claimed due to a trade the picture was demonted the next day to the minors and that he was yelling at the whole team and not just the rookie pitcher. The reporter Jay Mariotti stated that rookie pitchers shouldn't be used as "goons on demand" and critziced Guillens coaching style. He later in an interview with 20 reporters reffered to Mariotti as a "peice of s**t and "a f*****g f*****t". When confronted on that he claimed his english wasn't that good after being in the United States for a quater of a century. Went on to claim that he would not be attending sensitivity training. The Socks, Guillen and Mariotti have had a fued going for some time. With the reporter getting threats and in this incident Guillen refuses to apologize to Mariotti but did apologize to the gay community. This is not O. Guillen's first episode with poor word choices. I'll post the link for you.

Marriotti was writing an opinion on a newspaper about Guillen actions toward a rookie pitcher name Sean Tracey after he pull him off the game against Texas. Tracey was call up from the minors and pitch in relief, with the White Sox trailing 6-0. He was face to pitch 3B Hank Blalock, forcing him to groundout. Tracey got the out but Guillen yank him out of the ballgame. The twist of this story was that Guillen delibertly told Tracey to hit Blalock as retaliation to what happen earlier in the game, when White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski was hit by a pitch by Texas Vincente Padilla (not once, but twice), in which Guillen denied saying that. When Tracey failed to hit Blalock (Tracey pitch two "inside" pitch to him as a way to hit him), Guillen yank him out of the ballgame and was seen yelling at Tracey in the dugout, fueling speculation that Guillen want Blalock to be hit by a pitch. Ironically enough, Tracey was demoted back to the minors after the game.
Jay Marriotti, a coloumnist for the Chicago Sun-Times and a frequent contributor to ESPN "Around the Horn", was speaking his own mind about Guillen's action that night on the paper, in which Guillen didn't take kind to it, eventually call him the h-word (a negative sexual slur). Guillen was defending himself on what he said, saying that word has a different meaning in his home country of Venezuela. Since then, he was fined an undisclosed amount by MLB and commisioner Bud Selig ordered Guillen to attend sensitivity training, to which Guillen will never attend and rather learn English than stepping foot on an sensitivity class, according to an interview he did with ESPNdeportes.com (The interview is in Spanish).

Fag. But I thought this was America. I'm editing now because for the first time Yahoo has censured me. He used a flaming word about sexual preference that some find offensive but most people use.
