It depends on circumstances. If in a heterosexual relationship and the girl is a virgin, the breaking of the hymen can be a painful experience for the female, well at least uncomfortable. In homosexual and heterosexual experiences, anal sex can be painful also as you are penetrating a muscle sphincter, which can produced a significant amount of discomfort.
All and all, sex should never be described as a continual painful experience, if this is the case, something else maybe going on medically and a doctor will need to be consulted.

It shouldn't be if you're with the right person. Also remember that sufficient considerate attention paid to each other beforehand (mental, emotional and physical) can only improve the experience (as can a small amount of alcohol to relax you - but don't come to rely on it...).

Not the penetration part, just when the cramp sets in and you're unsure what to do- carry on through the pain OR stop for a restbite.

It can be painful to some people. I've known women who have only had pain during intercourse many times after their first few. =/

Only if you are doing it wrong! if it's your first time make sure you are ready for it and have LOTS of foreplay. Having solo sex first and getting used to your bodies responses is also a good idea.
