Virginia Beach- it's closer to where my daughter lives, but I haven't ever been there.

Been to both. Live in NJ. I'd go to neither, to be honest. One strip of beach walk and a couple of blocks behind the beach: ghetto. Besides it's ridiculously expensive. Was in AC a couple of weeks ago and they wanted $ 6 for a small coffee.
I'd go to the Caribbean or Honolulu. Yes, expensive too, but a lot nicer.

i've been to both, and frankly, i'd skip them both! virginia beach is filled with holy josephats, and the beach area was pretty run down when we were there (mid 90's) --- and atlantic city was overpriced, haughty taughty. try something different -- go to milwaukee for the worlds largest music festival -- summerfest, which starts next week.

atlantic city. they have everything for everyone. amusements on the boardwalk to casinos for the adults. shops, entertainment.

I WOULDN'T GO TO EITHER ONE I WOULD GO TO CAPE MAY . MUCH NICER THAN VERGINIA BEACH AND IF YOU WANT TO GAMBLE A. C. IS ONLY A HALF HOUR DRIVE FROM CAPE MAY. ALSO IF YOU WANT THE BOARD WALK YOU HAVE WILDWOOD RIGHT NEXT TO CAPE MAY.
