I have some sort of sore on my private area. It does not cause pain when I urinate, but it opened and started bleeding. If you know what it is or if it is serious, please let me know. Thank you.

Well, to start off with u say "some sort of sore". That doesn't give us very much true information to go on. With that information it gives the human mind so much to imagine. If it looks like a ingrown hair folical that has burst open that is one thing. If it truely is a open sore in the vaginal regions, that is a open clue for any woman to go see a doctor. It doesnt have to be a obgyn..it could be your family doctor. If it is bleeding to a point where you cant get it to stop, my advice is go to the ER and sit and wait to see a doc.
You can never be to sure what to do except see the doc. The people can only give u advice they are not there and cant see what the true picture is here.
If you are sexually active, I suggest you stop until you really know what is going on . If you do continue to have sex then make sure you wear protection to make sure it isnt a STD.

Time for a trip to the doctor. No kidding. Could be any number of things, a late showing STD (I mean no offense) such as herpes or HPV. Could be an ingrown hair. Could be an abrasion. Worth getting professionally looked into though, don't you think?

I would think that any thing on your private area that does not belong there needs medical attention. Especially something that is bleeding. go to the doctor asap.....now

For crying out loud, go see a doctor, appearance of the lesion is of the utmost importance, and if people are here guessing, they may steer you in the wrong direction.

In general, painless ulcerated lesions indicate a possiblity of syphilis, but many other possiblities exist. Testing is easy, cure is possible if that is the case, and it is caught early.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing. However I would check with my doctor as it may need treatment to heal up. The doctor will want to do tests based on whither or not you are sexually active. Its better to find out than to worry about it

Hmm my guess is it's like a zit...down there. If it doesn't stop bleeding, go to the doctor. If it does stop bleeding and closes up and heals over like acne does, then you've got nothing to worry about.

did u scratch it or irritate it
did it start out as a bump~could be a hair bump~not too serious or a boil~could b serious
been sexually active with someone that may have herpes
I suggest because of it's location you might want to go to the doctor.(very seriousPills but no cure)

I would just go and get it checked out by your doctor..maybe ur gynecologist or a clinic like planned parenthood

it could be nothing but its better to be safe than sorry. just get it checked out, especially if you are sexually active because it could be an std or something and u should get that treated A.S.A.P

who the heck would know that except a doctor, could be syphilis, so do go get it checked. If you dont you are a total dumbo and there should be a law against you ever pro-creating.
