part of the east coast of Queensland. Current estimates are of the order of hundreds of millions of dollars. The devastation includes the banana and the sugar cane industry. The region surrounding and including Innisfail seems to be the worst affected.
Homes were unroofed and others destroyed when the category 5 cyclone hit the Johnstone Shire coast and roared across the Atherton
