I Live in Maryland where the tax on cigarettes is over a dollar a pack.
A corton of Marlborros here costs me about $42.00, but if I go to Delaware, I can get a carton for around $22.00 a carton (w/ a coupon). So to answer your question I usually buy by the carton because with coupons it is cheaper

It does not take a genius to parent this out in case you're a smoker. purely upload a nil to the fee of a %. of cigarettes and that's what you will pay for ten packs. Then examine that to a value of a carton. Btw, in case you smoke, relish one for me. I end 2 years in the past and nevertheless pass over the hell out of them.

I used to buy by the pack, in hopes that each pack would be my last. But, I did QUIT smoking, and you can too. Remember, cigarettes dont get you high like alcohol and weed. All they do is feed your addiction.
Give yourself a great gift and quit today. You can do it.

By the carton using coupons. My husband quit and I tried. I don't smoke as much as I did. Now they are talking about more taxes on them. They are just about out of my price range.
