nope..they have to stick to rap and r&b.. OF COURSE!!! anyone can do anything they want! black people can be a country singer,a punk,a goth,a gangsta..anything their heart desires..they don't just have to stick to rap and r&b.. i hope if you want to be a rocker that you do become a rocker..prove all of those stereotypes and racists wrong!

It depends on how you're going about punk rock, as a lifestyle or music. If you just mean music, those bands are obvious successes, but if you mean a lifestyle, a certain state of mind, you could be purple and successful as long as you understand the true idea of punk.

I would say so. As a black person, I would love to see someone other than Prince cross that genre. If white people can learn to rap and be as good as Eminem, then black people can definitely be successful in punk rock.
