It's all about "White America", isn't it?

No, we can do things like President Bush has done and actually put qualified people, regardless of skin color, into high cabinet positions. President Clinton did not, but probably had the same problem as past President's have recently had: finding qualified candidates. Too many of them have the attitude of:

"It's all about 'White America', isn't it?" which doesn't ring true any more except to the few who get D's and F's in school and want to blame someone else for their choices.

They need the attitude of: "I am going to represent ALL Americans, all citizens, in equality and freedom, regardless of race, religion, age, creed, (etc.)!"

You seem to want it the other way. You seem to be encouraging it. You seem to want to divide America into White/Black.

It doesn't wash anymore.

Do something about it by actually becoming a U.S. citizen first, a black person second, or recognize that YOU do not represent the majority with this view.

You would if you wanted equality and freedom for ALL of us. That's worth voting for. I'd vote for the person if they were equally or better qualified before I'd vote for someone with a smaller group they claimed they represented.

I wouldn't vote for someone on a platform of representing whites. I wouldn't vote for someone on a platform of representing mystics. i wouldn't vote for someone who said they would focus on representing me, only.

I am a U.S.A. citizen, first, other things, second.

Yes Until African Americans decide to go out and really vote and stop putting the blame on white America there will not be a black Pres. We cannot continue to ask this question when African Americans don't rally together.

I'm certainly not racist. I'm an independant party myself. So I vote for whomever I would think that would make a great president. (and I certainly didn't vote for bush!)...
anyway...I think If an African American ran for president, and they more than qualify, I would vote for them. There are a lot of smart people out there, and a lot of dumb ones, but I think anyone of anyrace can run for presidency.
America is quickly becoming a "melting pot" and African Americans have come a long way in past 50 years or so...so why not?

To become President of the United States of America, one must be 100% American. African-American denotes something less than 100%, don't you think?

I think that we can have a black president. If you think about it yes that is nation is very racist at times but look at the senators, congressmen and women, actors and actresses winning these seats, not by their color but what they believe in and that is won with everyone not just cause he is white or black. I have a feeling that we will have a black president soon. Or even a hispanic or a woman president. We as a nation have to stand united and believe in everyone no matter what color you are.

Give me someone other than some low life opportunist like Jesses Jackson, and I would consider voting for them.

How about J.C. Watts of Oklahoma? I would vote for that black man for President in a second.

"or any other nationality" ??? You have to be American born to run for president ! You sound a little racist yourself. It's all about money and power, pal...Been that way since 1776...Those in power want to stay in power. It's a few rich people running the show...

If a black person ran for President, if he had Conservative values, and had appropriate government experience, he'd probably win.

I'd vote for a black Republican over a white Democrat any day.

I don't think there is anybody who is rich enough to pull the necesary strings. I would vote for any African, Oriental or Latino who is willing to give the job a try.
