Roll with the tide.I drink a juice that is designed to relieve stress before the stress. It is made from a berry.Of course this juice is not a panacea. but it cuts down on frayed nerves. It is important to strategize.or think of alternative answers.Sometimes the situation is out of your control. When your hand is in the lion's mouth take time to get it out. In other words watch your words and actions to avoid future regrets.Do the activities you enjoy.I write, play the keyboard, garden, take photos or surf the internet etc..Those who believe in God can talk to Him.I went rambling with my brother and while he was busy I took some photos and talked to God about different things. Sometimes talking to a friend or confidante helps. What I have discovered is that if you do not pass the stress test, you have to repeat it often as variation on a theme.Even if you have to buy stress balls,do something that will be beneficial to you.Sometimes stress results from overextending the self- trying to help others or procrastinating.Stress time may enable introspection- cause, effect, action, reaction.Find out what is best for you and use this modus operandi.

Sex, meditation, excercise, a bubble bath, a great movie that makes you laugh, take a nice nature walk and bring your camera, a massage if you can find someone to give you one, here is a good one . . . . journaling! That is a great way to relieve stress. If you don't have a husband, try masterbation. Any sexual release will cause endorfins which relieves stress. If the stress is due to bills, try to live cheaper so you can be happier and have less stress. If it is due to a man, consider the book, "Too Good To Leave, Too Bad To Stay" by Mira Kirshenbaum. Music, I almost forgot!!!! I have a lot of nice relaxing nature CD's, especially the one with the rain sounds!!!!Good Luck.

The best way is to eliminate the source of the stress. If unable to do that, next is to learn to deal with it. There are many ways depending on how you react to stress. Yoga is working for me as a great tool.

Eliminate the factor that causes stress, if that is not possible, then deep breathing exercises, a warm bath, a good book, positive thinking, such as imagining a time in your life when you were happy, calm and relaxed, or thinking of a peaceful beach, forest, mountain top - whatever makes you feel better.

Good luck,
Stefanie

Tell yourself mentally if able that you simply need to com yourself. Then take four deep breaths and on the fourth and last breath you hold it as long as possible without passing out. All this in a private area of course you certainly do not want people to think you are about to flip out. After awhile of this method you learn to not let things get you upset so often.
