It seems like all the hip hop produced now adays is garbage. What happened to the days of snoop and dre. Party rap. Now people think a song about "riding dirty" is cool. Pure garbage.

I'm not into country. I just like interesting music.. some guys dancing around talking about riding dirty doesn't float my boat. And yea, songs like laffy taffy... what dumbass would pay to listen to that song. I could make up a better song than that!

You're right. Over the years, Hip hop music has changed. It's no longer the "party, let's have fun" energy that began. Now, it's elevating and glorifying the sell of crack, powder, various kinds of weed, who's ridin on whatever size wheels, who has the most bling, bling. It makes no sense to me sometimes. On top of that, much of the music is regurgitated - the beats - they are never original. Unfortunately, as much as I love all music, this seems to influence our kids in such a negative way. I pray for hope.

I think that it is going down the drain, but thats rap. i think there is becoming a very distinct line between rap and hip hop. Rap is laffy taffy and things like that, things that dont have content. But rap isnt really made for content, its made for entertainment. Hip hop artist like Lupe fiasco, mos def and others will continue to rise because they are always talking about whats going on and there is something always going on.

Yeah I agree completely. Well no one cares anyway, since people are listening to hip hop less and less now. Be cool and go listen to some alternative rock or something. Those song actually have meaning...they're not just about hoes, booze, sex, and money.

THANK YOU!!!! Finally someone who sees it to. Back when Biz Markie (if that's the right spelling) was rapping, you actually had to have a story to tell, or at least a point. Now, you can get rich off "Laffy Taffy" WTF?!?!
