disable restore run spyware doctor ($20) from netscape.com
in safe mode
clean out old restore points in cleandisk (more options)
do a defrag then when done. create a new restore point the computer will ask you if you want the computer to turn that feature turnned on, you say yes then you proceed to create a new restore point then you reboot the system hope it works for you

Do a free online scan at www.antivirus.com. This should help you get it cleaned up pretty good
