You can use a free virus scanner like TrendMicro. The link is in my sources. That should do the trick. If it doesn't, I would suggest using Windows Defender. The link is also in my sources.

Both are free and work for most viruses. However, I would also suggest you get some kind of software to have on your computer. You dont have to buy anything neccessarily, as there are many free tools availible on the net, but you definitely need some kind of protection.

AVG Antivirus is free of charge.

Run the program in safe mode (press F8 when booting before the Windows screen comes up) and it will be able to remove the virus.

Cleaning a virus can be difficult at best. I find that trend micro has a free online scan that is pretty good. Go to www.antivirus.com and scan for free. That should help

Go to Symantec.com and search for the type of worm you have. They will tell you all about it.
