I like it, but I wish they'd reverse the use of the designated hitter during these games -- use it in National League parks, and not in American League parks. This would give each league's fans an opportunity to see the other league's style of play.
I particularly like the local rivalry games (NY/NY, CHI/CHI, SF/OAK, etc.)!

Interleague play is great...for some markets. Mets/Yankees, Cubs/White Sox and Dodgers/Angels will always be huge rivalries and will always be well attended and followed. Some of the other rivalries like Reds/Indians, Rangers/Astros, Giants/A's, Royals/Cardinals or Dodgers/Angels will have a following if both teams are competitive. Any of the other series are just for the curious. What does need to happen is that only the first series needs to be played. The second set of interleague games is always "forced rivalries" like this Cubs/Minnesota or Texas/Colorado series are just pointless. (The Nationals/Orioles series is too soon to tell, as that is only a rivalry in the ownership both for now).

I have to say I like it. As a native Bostonian who now lives in Philly, I love that I can go the ballpark here and see the Sox when I might not get another opportunity to see them play during the season.
Some people act like it's the end of baseball, but I think it's fun and harmless and should be continued!

I like interleague play, especially, as someone else said, the special rivalries, like the World Series "rematch" HOU/CWS, and battle of the bay--SF/OAK--which I'm watching right now. The whole DH/pitcher thing is troublesome of course, and results in interleague play greatly favoring American League teams....but its nice to see some variety.

I love interleague play. It shows you truely how good a team is. They have very little scouting reports against the teams from the other league and don't know about the players, they just go out their and play. It shows you how good your team actually is.

There used to be a certain mystique about seeing a player from the other league play. You would only get the occasional Saturday game or the all star game to see them play. But now there are so many games on espn and other channels that it doesn't matter. So I think it is good now. The mystique is gone no matter what.

I like it very much because we get a chance to see teams and players we rarely get to see play like Andrew Jones and Bobby Abreu (Phillies). AND we would not get to see Tom Gordon who once pitched for the Red Sox give up a walk-off home run to Big Papi today at Fenway Park. That alone made inter-league play great this season!!
I hope you agree!!

It definitely adds a little excitement, especially in the multi-team cities. However, I think they should only play a few series not as many as they do know. They should definitely had the World Series rematch as well as those classic rivalries, thats all.

I dont like it...but it is probably here to stay.
They should minimize it though
keep it simple.
NY vs NY
Chi vs Chi
Cinn vs Cleve
Oak vs SF
Det vs Mil
Hou vs Tex
you know just the basic simple plan
each series would be a home and away.
