no but yes..i think .. do you want to know why he always read and enjoying that book? it's because of his best friend,obito.who is a pervert too.when he died,obito gave one of his sharingan to kakashi as a gift for becoming a jounin and kakashi's right eye was blind because he protected obito from a rock-shinobi that is about to stab obito,unfortunately,it slashes and hit kakashi's eye.it was.the other sharingan was destroyed and the half of his body,because of a big rock that is thrown on top of obito...so,when kakashi's right eye was operated,and grew up,his hobbies more became the same as obito. like,why he always came late and always with a book named icha-icha violence,and the other titles...so,i don't think that kakashi sensei is a pervert...maybe a little bit...hee..hee..

Is your mom Japanese? Although manga and anime are accepted and popular (and made in!) Japan, many Japanese people have the idea that manga is more of a geeky hobby. I'm not saying that that's why your mom doesn't want you to read them, but I think for born-and-raised Japanese (or close to it) it's hard to get rid of that kind of stereotype. Your mom might think that reading manga will make you waste a lot of your time, get you addicted and take away from your social life. That's what my mom thinks.... but I am a big fan. Also, your mom might think that even though you're reading completely normal, innocent manga now, it could lead to perverted/erotic manga, just as you described. Anyway, I think you should just ignore your mom (not to be disrespectful ^^''). You're obviously not an obsessed pervert otaku or anything. And I agree with you- manga is just like novels. There's no reason why it would be worse for you than anything else. And if you just read a couple shoujo manga now and then, there's definitely no issue, so just don't worry about it!~ Edit: Has anybody else noticed how American Japanese people always seem to be the ones who just read manga once in a while and find it mildly entertaining, and the non-Japanese Americans are always the huge fans?

i'm not exactly sure it means kakashi is a pervert. He trained under Jiraiya as will Naruto; and, since Jiraiya wrote the books, it could just a way of Kakashi knowing whats up with his sensei. Also, Kakashi is just too badass to just be a straight out perv like Jiraiya seems to be.
