When dose the Nintendo Wii come out?

It's supposed to be this fall, but you know how it is. I guess the controller works with the game, you move the controller, your guy moves...but in the pictures it looks like a remote control, seems kind of difficult to use. I'm waiting for the PS3 which is supposed to come out around the same time, unfortunately though, it's predicted to cost around $600, ouch.
