yes, I have seen this. I think after something already happens it is easy to find "signs" around us. But I believe they are usually just coincidences as the human brain is always trying to make sense of things and piece things together. For example, looking at clouds and finding images in them.

i have seen it done before. i also saved a newspaper cover that people saw satan's face in the smoke as the towers were hit. i have the paper, but its on a website too. i believe its mind over matter: if you're looking for signs, you'll find them.
