It's hard to read in a moving vehicle, and you can only listen to CDs for so long. Playing 'I spy' can only go on for so long. So, in between the motels, gas stations and Stuckeys', how do you keep yourself entertained?

I would like you to keep in mind that I am 15. I like to read, listen to cds, take a nap, do word puzzles, watch movies on a portable dvd player, knit, write and draw(if the ride isn't too bumpy), talk to my family or friends, write lists (I am an obsessive list writer because I have to be organized), play handheld games, etc.

I drive 2 hours to see my Mom. The radio in my van doesn't work. So I sing. I also break up the trip by towns, The first big town is 1/4 of the way, the next one is 1/2 way, the 3rd one is 3/4 of the way there, and finally I'm there.

yeah. ipods are a big help here. flipping off drivers is great fun to. just make sure you have a fast car(yeah, voltswagon vans don't get away too fast) and that you don't get stuck in traffic. bring some pens and draw. listen to books on tape(Alan Watts is good). if i'm in a i'll good mood i'll talk to the people in 7-11 or something. i figure, say some crazy but in line type of things to people. you'll only see them once or so anyway. i guess you once again have to find your groove to get into. maybe watch movies on a laptop or movie player thing(or find someone to borrow one from). bring a companion if you can. s**t like that.

What are you interested in? You could watch some of yor favorite movies on a DVD player, or listen to your favorite songs for a little while. Talk to your family and learn more about them.

If that doesn't help, here is another Yahoo! Answers question about long trips.

There is no way really. Try to stop once in a while to see the sights unless you're on a plane or bus. IPOD, DVD player, some reading books. I usually just catch up on sleep.
