Poop isn't always BROWN. It is waste from processed food and it can be colors other than brown.

the bile from you liver adds color to the food being digested and the food gets smashed and digested in the stomach, sm intestine and large intestine. when your poo is not hard it means that your lg intestine did a bad job on absorbing water out of the food. i think its bile that pretty much makes up the color of poo and urine.

cause the stomach acids take all color out and it leaves it brown after vits. and nutrients are removed...
