Always go for the BSN You may not always want to be a neo-natal nurse. This ways hundreds of choices will be available to you. ( Nurse for 46 years!)

You can get either one actually. You can go to nursing school and become an RN in 18 months. They have classes that specialize in pediatric and neonatal areas.
Good luck. I was a respiratory therapist before I decided to stay at home with my kids. I love working with the children and the babies. It was very rewarding to work with children and babies.
