I like the intentional walk, especially when they walk Big Papi (David Oritiz) and then Manny Ramirez punishes them by sending one over the Green Monster at Fenway. Plus, as part of the strategy of the game, it often backfires making the decision under the circumstances a bad one.
Hope you agree.

It is completely how the game was meant to be played. Baseball is a team sport. A rule of thumb for all team sports is don't let their best player beat you. If you walk someone it is up to the next guy to make you pay.

No because if you don't walk the player he could mess up the game. Lets say the Yankees are against the Red Sox and they are tied 7-7. Jason Giambi is up to bat, he's fired up, their are two men at base. Would you like the walk him or try to strike him out? If you don't walk him and he makes the game winning home run. Who's fault will it be??

I just wish the pitching team could point to first base and have the batter be automatically awared the base. The ridiculous part is having to throw the 4 pitches. Just DO it!

They are an important strategy move. Sometimes they backfire. But sometimes they set your team up for a double play - which can get you out of a sticky situation.

whats ridiculous is that barry bonds was gatting intentionally walked all the time while albert pujols was not barry bonds hasnt done anything for his team while if pujols hadnt gotten hurt he would have easily passed barry in his record if ur gonna let one player hit let them all hit but in some situations its the smartest part of the game but walking someone cause there the better at hitting then you are pitching is stupid

No it's part of the strategy, but they shouln't waste four pitches just to walk him. Just tall him take your base, you are being walked.

YES!
Get rid of them.
I hate when they call for 4 outside.
We want Pujols, Bonds, and the rest to get that big hit!

No, of course it is not ridiculous.
It makes perfect sense, especially with first base open and the pitcher due up next.
