What democrat has "wrapped up" a war in recent years? Clinton entered us into a few military actions, Kosovo and Somolia. The first Persian Gulf War began and was complete during Bush I. The Cold War was concluded by Reagan. Johnson (Democrat) got us into Vietnam and wasn't it Nixon (Republican) who concluded that war?

Maybe your perception is just skewed.

Generally, the Republicans have spines and the Democrats tend to be passivists (are they French?).

As for getting the country on track, you need to study history and also understand that decisions made sometimes take years to have the desired impact (e.g., Reagan's tax policy and economic growth strategy).

Like most Democrats, you attribute far too much to Presidents Kennedy, Johnson, Carter and Clinton. Check the history books and better understand the inter-relationships of the decisions made under those administrations that were instrumental in shaping America. Not much positive there dude.

As much as the democrat in me would like to agree with the very explicit bias presented in this question, I have to say that this is a patently stupid observation. Not only is it empirically denied, but the fact is that war is caused by so many different factors and is such a complex affair that your boiling it down to republicans start wars and democrats end them is absurd. And I would love to know what you mean by 'immoral wars'...In alot of very important ways, war in and of itself, the way it has been conducted for the last 100 years or so, is not very moral...FYI tons of people die, for instance. So, is the implication of your question that there is such a thing as a 'moral war'? Dumbass!

You need a history lesson,

Vietnam started by -- Democrats. (Kennedy, Johnson)

Vietnam ended by -- A Republican. (Nixon)

I rest my case.

Are you really so stupid as to believe that Osama Bin Laden actually came to America and sat down with Bush at his ranch? You are even dumber than I tell people you are.

Wow, as a history major, I'm surprised how many of you have a firm grip on histories. I constantly have to hammer into people's head the Republicans have no history of starting wars. We were attacked and we responded.

sigh......do they not teach anything in history anymore?
WWi-wilson-Deomcrat
WWII Roosevelt - Democrat
Korean War - Truman- Democrat
Viet nam - Kenndy - Democrat

So republicans have a record of one. I'm not seeing the trend quite yet.

That depends on what you call immoral if you refer to Iraq you
are sadly mistaken, true we did what we set out to do, but they
started it by killing almost everyone in the towers on 9/11
are you prepared to forgive them, by them I mean alkida, and are you willing to give up your life? if not maybe you should rethink this question.
But we need to pay more attention to what"s happening in our own country, Don't you think?
