Sure, I've washed vinyl and cloth shower curtains - use a non-chlorine bleach and throw a couple of towels in with the curtain for scrubbing action. You can toss it it the dryer for a couple of minutes to loosen up any wrinkles.

I've seen this recommended in Woman's Day or some magazine like that. They said to put plastic shower curtains in your washing machine with a little soap and some bath towels. I think the plush of the bath towels were to help it get clean.

Yes and no. If it's a cheap thing, no, I'd wash it in the tub. If sturdy, then yes, wash in washing machine. Usually that's sufficient. If you still look a bit scumy after, run thru again with vinegar.

Wash them in the gentle cycle with bleach or soak them in the bathtub with bleach. Only a little soap, Dawn is the best. If there is mildew, the bleach will take it right off. If it's limescale, add a little CLR to the load

I just take it down and throw it in the washer. Even the cheap plastic ones come clean for me.

yeah it's possible, just throw it in the wash, but I'd use cold water for sure, and if it's a cheap 2.00 job, just toss it and get a new one! happy cleaning
