What I want is a list of the YOUR top 5 singers, drummers, bassists, and guitarists of all time. Not including today (no foo fighters, green day, all american rejects, etc.) No rap or pop, or country either. Nor do I want any death metal or really hardcore rock (black sabbath, metallica, etc...) Stick to straight up classic rock (aerosmith, the beatles, queen, eagles, journey, led zeppelin, the who, those kind-of bands.

My lists:
Singers:
1. Freddie Mercury
2. Paul McCartney
3. Steven Tyler
4. Steve Perry
5. Robert Plant
6. Meatloaf

Guitarists:
1. Jimmy Page
2. Jimi Hendrix
3. Brian May
4. Eric Clapton
5. Eddie Van Halen

Bassists: (I can only think of two decent ones)
1. John Entwistle
2. John Paul Jones

Drummers:
1. John Bonham
2. Keith Moon
3. Neil Peart
4. Roger Taylor
5. Mick Fleetwood
6. Steve Smith

And I'm a drummer myself so don't argue about the drummers.

I agree for the most part, but for guitarist, I'd put Angus Young over Clapton, and then move Halen into the #4 spot.

For singers, I'd add John Lennon, maybe.
