turn off the chiming noise on aim when you send and recieve messages?

in yahoo messsenger click on the menu bar...
click on messenger option>>>then >>>> preferences>>>>
select alerts and sounds>>>>
now uncheque the box which sayz "enable alert sounds"
n bingo.. sounds ar gone

When you are chatting with somebody go to "File" in the window. Then go to "IM preferences." Then click "expressions." Near the bottom you click "IM sounds." Then underneath "for buddies on my buddy list scroll through the options until you get to " do not play any sounds."

if you go into tools and then either options or preferences it should give you a list of things that you can change. there should be one listed for sound and you can turn the sounds off from there.

check settings and disable sound maybe its called preferences look around :D
