Lots of numbers show up frequently, especially when you are looking for them. This is a relatively common phenomenon that is experienced by quite a lot of people.
1024 is a very commonly occuring number because it is 2^10
1023 = 2^10 - 1
There is a movie called Pi, it is about a guy who becomes obsessed looking for a particular "216" number as it is called. After I watched the movie, I've noticed that I see the number 216 quite frequently.
