He is either planning on leaving you and taking the money with him or he is trying to save a marriage by controlling all the money and by bugeting it out because maybe you have a bad habbit of wanting to spend all the time,and if it is in his name only,then he can see where the money is being spent.I am pretty sure that one of these 2 answers are the reasons for this but without knowing either of you,it is hard to really say.

Why did he do it? How do you spend your money? do you handle your expenses responsibly? Did you ask him? were you guys having financial problems? Do you guys have any communication? That is a very drastic measure, either you did something really bad to take such a drastic measure, or you really made him mad which would say he's a nut. I'd say open your own bank account. Do you work? Are you responsible with your debt?

I think this is too fishy. I think there's more to this story.....there ALWAYS IS.

If he's abusive, and he did it out of thin air, get your own account, save some money, and get the heck out of there, pronto!

That sounds really controlling... I'd talk with him about it. If there's any kind of abuse (mental, emotional, physical...), it sounds like it's getting worse.
