A few ideas:

Buy a mehendi henna kit and invite a friend or two over so you can give each other temporary tattoos.

Ask your parents to rent a hotel room for your family, at a hotel with a pool, and have some friends or cousins join you for a couple hours of swimming and games, before they go home and leave you and your Mom to stay up late, eat junk food, and give each other make overs.

Ask a family member to visit the Arbor Day Foundation website and have 10 trees planted in your name. You'll get a certificate and the name of the forest where they were planted/the occasion. They'll be a living memorial to this special day.

Make a pizza, from scratch, with your family or friends. Use all sorts of fun toppings, and while it is cooking, open your presents.

Have a sleep over. Rent some funny movies, get some ghost story books from the library, ask friends to bring their favorite games, plan a snack like smores, and if you can, sleep in a tent or in the basement so you have some privacy.

Make a time capsule, including a list of your favorite things at age 13, your hopes and dreams, a letter to your future self (for 10 years from now), your memories from the last year, your biggest regret, some momentos, a story about where you think you'll be in 10 years, and a special message from each of your friends (that you won't read for 10 years). Seal it in a coffee can and store it away, carefully.

Olivia, a early "Happy Birthday" to you. May you be blessed with many more and be surrounded by family and friends who love and care about you. Enjoy the day, enjoy the cake, enjoy the presents and most of all enjoy who you are!

For my 13th I rented a limo and everyone got to pick one place they wanted to go that night, we ended up back at my house and had a fancy candlelit dinner in the backyard...everyone dressed up it was a blast like a junior prom. Then all the gals spent the night and played water tag in the streets till like 4am...and of course ended the sleepover with fun movies and being mean to the girls that fell asleep first. :)
