www.godaddy.com

They have some really good business deals at really good prices. You can get your domain name, hosting services, and web-designing software so you can do it yourself, and not to mention traffic blazer software to help bring visitors to your site.
Check it out !

Good luck, a most worthy project, grasshopper...
1. Subscribe to an internet provider who will 'rent' you space on their servers. You need a PLACE to put your website, that is it. Many places on the net rent web space OR you can post a free on on some sites, like Yahoo.
2. Use the program on the free site to make the website. OR get a program like MS Frontpage, or Publisher, or even Word to create the pages.
3. Upload the pages to the folder www on your web hosting company (the one who has the storage space mentioned above)

Have Fun. Follow the program directions, start simple, and add pages as you go.

1. First you have to find some entity that has space on their server so that you can publisher web site. You might go on Yahoo or other search engines and look for "free Web hosting" the cheapest way would be to use Yahoo's "360 web site" although I don't know that they handle commercial enterprises.
2. Go on Craig's list if you have one in your community. In these chock-full of people are advertising web site creation in exchange for other skills or products. 3. Or you can learn HTML by yourself. That's a language people use to create web sites. It's not all that hard to learn but if you're advertising for professional purposes is probably the year just to get someone who already knows a language and its conventions. You can also use Microsoft's "front-page". It's contained within the Microsoft Office suite, at least for some people, and it's like "hamburger helper for creating web sites. It gives you basic themes and layouts so you don't have to work that hard. You just putting your content in the designated spaces.

If you lack the interest to REALLY learn, and make a good website use a site builder.

Most website builders are very simple in-fact they are idiot proof!
The disadvantage to this is you are limited in many aspects.

Want a cool website, a real breathtaking website?

1. Learn HTML
2. Move on to Learning CSS
3. Learn PHP "this is where it starts getting really cool!"

There are plenty of tutorials, but do be advised start with HTML first or you may just get real discouraged from the get go.
